Photographer Catania my love story with this city! I love my city so deeply that when I walk through the streets of my Catania I can't resist the temptation to take pictures.
If I don't have my inseparable camera, I use my smartphone to immortalize the "life" that we breathe. We are approaching Christmas and Catania is particularly beautiful. It will be the sparkle of the festive decorations and a mild climate that perfectly matches my desire to stroll downtown that shows me a city resembling a woman in an evening dress. I'm in Piazza Duomo and I point my smartphone towards the cathedral and the palaces of the old Catania. I share with you some of my shots.
I walk along via Etnea from piazza Duomo to piazza Università
The streets are full of people who are scrambling to find presents to put under the tree. I too, in truth, having left for the same reason, let myself be distracted willingly by my love for this city. I continue my tour in via Etnea moving from the cathedral towards piazza university. I can not hide my disappointment in observing that the stands present, vaguely resembling a Christmas market that hide the beauty of the four candelabra in the square. In the center dominates an illuminated cone of sparkling glitter. A well done caricature of a Christmas tree. At least this saves the felling of a centuries-old fir tree as happens in other cities, the sacrifice of a majestic tree in favor of the consumerism of our time!
Photographer Catania, from Piazza Duomo to Piazza Università. I confess that the first aroused a beautiful emotion in me, the second a little less, because the beauty of the square was hidden in favor of a small market of Christmas jewels and objects.
Photographer Catania and his brides
Photographer Catania and of course all those events to remember. First of all weddings. I like to capture the most "natural" moments in an event.
From the emotion of the mother of the bride when she enters the church to the intolerance of some towards the tight shoes they wear or the new dress for the occasion. The liberating joy of leaving the church and the children playing during the banquet, chased by their parents. Even the canonical shots find space in the album of memories; A roundup of relatives who take turns holding the wedding favor, but I confess that I prefer my Catania to these last few frames, more natural and true with its contradictions.
