Wedding in Catania but also photographic services in Nicolosi and the whole planet, where a wedding can take place! Seriously, the beautiful village on the slopes of Etna today offers us a clear but pungent evening.
The reception has just ended, we have collected all the tools of the trade, lights, cameras and here I am, in the middle of the night walking under a starry sky and a cold penetrating to the core! Now I'm in the main square of the town, where the usual lighted cone in the shape of a Christmas tree dominates it. At his feet an almost life-size nativity. I grab my smartphone and point it at the tree trying to frame the crib as well.
The lights and the Christmas atmosphere make me think of the hypocrisy rampant in this historic moment and the great fortune of being able to focus the lens of the digital camera! The poor with the sole expectation of finding themselves ever poorer in the future and part of a nativity scene ignored by all and of a ruling class that makes party rancor prevail over the objectivity of a dramatic reality with no future prospects.
But I try to protect my mind for a moment by rejecting the guilt feelings for having been luckier than the others, I focus my gaze on the thousand glittering stars in the sky. The immensity of the universe dwarfs even the biggest problems of the small spaceship that is the earth. Unfortunately my camera is now in my assistant's car and my cell phone camera doesn't have the sensitivity to shoot the wonder above my head. I'm happy to take the glittering cone that hangs over the nativity!

The marriage of M & M, as I jokingly call Mia and Maurizio, ended in the best possible way. It was a great party and everyone was infected by the joy of the two lovers. When feelings take over the rest, for us wedding photographers, everything becomes easier, because everyone's relaxed atmosphere is the best pose for our photo shoots. I am sure that all of today's emotions, captured by our cameras, when the photo album is opened, will emerge as in a fairy tale to involve, like today, the lucky ones who will leaf through the pages.
